Hooter’s Casino
The casino is not overly themed, except for the restaurant which offers the typical Hooter’s Florida decor. Except for the occasional waitress wearing a Hooter’s shirt, you could be in any number of casinos in Las Vegas. We have not stayed at the hotel, so there is no review for that. I have played poker in their poker area, which has a shanty poker house with poker tables also outside of the shanty building.
I am sure the slot club promotions change often, but at the time of this writing you get $100 free play in a special slot area, discount tickets to see Bobby Slayton, a scratch off give away and 1/2 off wings or a pitcher of beer.
The casino showroom features Bobby Slayton and The Mentalist, both of which are reviewed under the shows category.
Not necessrily my favorite place to visit, but it is across the street from the MGM Grand (you need to exit the main check in area and follow the sidewalk down to the street (Tropicanna), if you exit any other doors you will have a very long walk). It is a novel place to have a drink.
