Gordon Brown

April 24, 2008

Gordon appears at the V Theatre in the Miracle Mile Mall at Planet Hollywood.  We rememberedhis ads when he was at the Venetian and thought we would give the show a try.  He trys to be a Danny Gans type show.  He has no band at the V Theatre.  I am giving him the benefit of [...]

Steve Wyrick

April 24, 2008

The Wyrick Theatre is in the Miracle Mile Mall at Planet Hollywood.  The show was very good.  There are several tricks that we have not figured out.  A helicopter appears on stage as well as an airplane during different parts of the show.  Wyrick disappeared during one part of the show and ended up in [...]

Rosanne Barr

March 17, 2008

She is now performing at the Sahara. Her show was entertaining.  I think it would be even better for those above 40.  There was a couple minutes of awkwardness as a Republican and Democrat argued because of Rosanne’s questions.  She is still seemingly finessing her performance routine.

Larry Jones – 1002 Voices

February 17, 2008

We recently saw Larry Jones – The Man of 1002 voices, the impersonator show at Fitzgeralds.  The showroom was relatively small, but made for a cozy atmosphere to view the show.  For most of the show he was singing essentially to a karaoke track and would sing short verses from a variety of songs.  Mixed [...]

The Mentalist

February 16, 2008

Don’t let the venue of Hooter’s keep you away from this act. We don’t know what is more amazing, the mind-boggling acts or that a person as talented as he is performs at Hooter’s. In the show he interacts with audience members ranging from selecting random numbers in a phone book to describing audience members’ [...]

Tournament of Kings

February 16, 2008

This was my second time to see the show. It is great dinner show. I think the food portion and quality has improved since when I last saw the show several years ago. You cheer for the section in which you sit. (Just so you know the same knight did not win both times I [...]

Blue Man Group

February 16, 2008

This was an excellent show. Audience participation and driving music make this performance come alive. I won’t spoil any of the surprises. You will not be disappointed with the show. It is a must see of Las Vegas.

Ron Lucas

February 16, 2008

Ron Lucas is a ventriloquist at the Luxor. He has been featured on numerous television shows. I thought his act was a little stale, but he is a very talented ventriloquist. Just like the Amazing Jonathan show, the novelty of seeing the act in person, after having seen television performances for years, made the show [...]

Carrot Top

February 16, 2008

We saw the show over the summer (2007) at the Luxor. His props and comedy were very entertaining. He was very current with his comedy and did not use the same props that have been on previous TV appearances.  It was a good, entertaining show.

Bobby Slayton

February 16, 2008

Bobby Slayton appears at the Hooter’s casino. He is the self proclaimed “pit bull of comedy”. It was a decent show. If you are afraid of being singled out in a comedy act you might want to stay away. Tip: At the time of writing this, if you sign up at the slot club you [...]
